This year was the 54th year the "70 Miler" canoe race which follows the Susquehanna River, starting at Lake Front Park in Cooperstown NY and finishing in General Clinton Park in Bainbridge NY. First run in 1963, the regatta was originally a re-reaction of the historic trip down the Susquehanna River by General James Clinton during the Revolutionary War. The first jewel of the Triple Crown of Canoe Racing is a well-know canoe regatta that features a pro race that is considered one of the longest on-day races of it's kind. Congratulations SCC paddlers Graham Smith, Trevor Robinson and Edith MacHattie on their race yesterday at the General Clinton Canoe Regatta - the first leg of the Triple Crown of Canoe Racing. Graham paddled with Logan Mynar from Texas to a 8th place overall finish, and Trevor and Edith paddled together and finished 2nd in the mixed class, 12th place overall.
